A physician specializing in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Ronald Sollitto actively invests in his community when not treating patients. Dr. Ronald Sollitto regularly volunteers as the police and fire surgeon for the Township of Saddle Brook, and is a member of the prestigious New Jersey Honor Legion.
A nonprofit organization, the New Jersey Honor Legion (NJHL) was incorporated nearly five decades ago. Composed of active and retired law enforcement officers from local to federal agencies, the NJHL promotes civic responsibility and involvement among its membership. The Legion opens its membership to individuals who have risked their lives to save another human being or whose lives have been threatened by an armed adversary. Membership remains active even in retirement with good standing.
The NJHL offers three types of memberships: Active Member with New Jersey Jurisdiction, Active Member without New Jersey Jurisdiction, and Retired Member. Potential members may download the corresponding application from the NJHL website, http://www.njhl.com. Membership approval is at the discretion of the NJHL New Membership Committee and Executive Board. Acceptance into the organization will be followed by an induction ceremony at the Legion’s general meeting. Should an applicant be deemed ineligible, the application fee will be refunded.
